Safety Rules
For the scented candles in glass
- Remove the packaging before lighting the candle.
- During the first burning, remove the large gemstones and flowers/herbs at the top of the candle.
- Always place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Make sure that the candle is always standing straight, so that it cannot fall over.
- Ideally, you should burn a candle for about 4 hours, especially the first time. This way, the candle is given enough time to release its fragrance and form a nice melt pool.
- However, never leave the candle burning for more than 4 hours, as the glass could become too hot, causing it to crack or shatter. Let the wax solidify for at least one hour before lighting the candle again.
- The glass gets warm when the candle burns. Caution when touching.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish the candle when you leave the room.
- Always keep the candle out of reach of children and pets.
- Leave at least 10 cm between burning candles and never place them near flammable items, such as curtains.
- Never place the candle in a room where there is a draught.
- Never place the candle near a heat source.
- Do not move a burning candle.
- Make sure the flame cannot touch the glass and extinguish the candle if there is at least 0.5 cm of wax left in the glass. If you continue to let the candle burn from this point on, you risk the glass breaking because of the heat.
- Extinguish the candle if it smokes, if the flame is too high or if the flame comes too close to the glass.
- Use a candle extinguisher to extinguish the candle instead of blowing it out.
- Wanneer de kaars gedoofd is, ventileer de kamer waar de kaars staat dan goed.
- Unlike paraffin, you can simply remove this wax with warm water and soap. When your candle has burned out, you can clean your jar and reuse it if you wish. Even if you have stained yourself with this wax, you can simply remove the stain with warm water and soap.
- Cut the wick to 0.5 cm before each use. Use a wick cutter or possibly a nail clipper for this. This ensures that the flame is not too large and that the candle burns quietly.
- In case of skin or eye irritation, rinse carefully with water and seek medical advice.
For the figure candles
- Remove the packaging before lighting the candle.
- Always place the candle on a deep, stable, heat-resistant saucer. Make sure that the candle is always standing straight, so that it cannot fall over.

For Wax Melts
- Place the wax melt burner on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Use the wax melts only in a wax melt burner (minimum height 10cm).
- Make sure there is always a wax melt in the holder when you light the wax melt burner.
- Place a wax melt (or a few) in the dish and light a tealight at the bottom. Make sure that you never put too many wax melts in the dish at once, which could lead to the dish overflowing during melting.
- Use only good-quality tea lights and cut the wick of the tea light a little shorter (to about 0.5 cm), so that the wax melt can melt quietly and spread its fragrance.
- Never leave a waxmelt burner unattended and always keep it away from children and pets.
- Keep the wax melt burner away from curtains and other flammable objects.
- Always ensure a draught-free environment when using the wax melt burner.
- Never leave the burner burning for more than 4 hours.
- Please note that the burner may become hot after a while. Always allow it to cool completely before moving it.
- If the wax melt no longer gives off a scent, blow out the tea light and allow the wax to cool.
- Wait until the wax has completely set and remove the set wax with a teaspoon. Afterwards, clean the holder with warm water and some detergent.
